November Favourites

IMG_1595.JPG

Hi guys,

So it’s that time of the month again where we all search through all our things and find our favourites for the month! This month has been more difficult than usual as I have bought so much stuff and was given a lot of new things for my birthday – I have managed to narrow it down to a few which I will go through below.

John Lewis Haul

IMG_1366.JPG

Hey Peeps,

So last week I went on a birthday shopping trip/lunch in Liverpool 1. Had a wonderful day and spent a fortune haha!

The majority of my shopping was done at the various make up counters in John Lewis. Such a lethal way of shopping when the bill is broken down like that 😳 anyway, onto the purchases:

The first counter I made my way towards was the Guerlain counter, I could literally have stayed there all day sampling all the products. I was in my element.

Dior Rouge Baume Lipstick

IMG_1094.JPG

Hi guys,

So if you read my House of Fraser blog you will know I recently received a free Dior gift when I purchased the Dior Holiday Palette. I decided that today I would try the lipsticks as I was planning a nude/natural eye and these lipsticks are quite bold.

IMG_1128.JPG

I have fallen in love with the shade 688 Diorette and will be buying the full size one on Thursday when I go shopping 🙂 (Diorette is the shade I am wearing in the top photo)

The lipstick retails at £26 which I would say is quite standard for Dior lipsticks. Quite a high price compared to high street brands but worth it. I’ve had this on for a couple of hours now and haven’t reapplied once.

Onto the swatches:

From left to right:

688 Diorette
558 Lili
468 Spring
999 Rouge Dior

I really love all these colours but am sold on Diorette. I think it’s a lovely pinky colour for this time of year and applies really well. Perhaps this could be used under the Dior Collagen Lip Gloss as well for an added sheen 🙂

The other thing I adore about this gift is the packaging – it’s so cute ……

Anyway I am rushing out now but wanted to say a few words on this product. I would definitely recommend this lipstick 👍👍👍

Thanks 🙂 xxx

House of Fraser Treats

IMG_0963.JPG

Hi guys,

So I recently went onto the House of Fraser website for a snoop – like I need any excuse to shop 😳

I have been after a couple of things for a while but as usual ended up spending a fortune……

The first thing on my list was the UD setting spray. If you read my October Favourites blog you will know that I recently ran out of the De-Slick spray which I was gutted about 😩 anyway I decided to try the All Nighter spray, it was £9 for a bottle and cannot wait to try it.

Next I seem to have navigated myself onto the MAC section of the website and somehow 2 little items ended up in my basket haha! First was the MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre (£15) I love this colour, either worn as a natural colour or it makes a fab base for another eyeshadow. The swatch isn’t great but you can see it’s really natural.

IMG_0984.JPG

The other MAC product that I ended up buying was the MAC Prep & Prime Highlighter Pen in the shade Light Boost (£18.50) I have heard good things about this product and cannot wait to try it. I also love the cute packaging as it’s sparkles in the light – I am sold on this product before I have even used it haha!

IMG_0986.JPG

The last, and most expensive thing to find it’s way into the basket is the Dior Holiday Couture Collection Palette (£71) – as a Dior fanatic I just knew from the moment I saw it that I had to have it. No negotiations with my inner self, it was coming home to me! End of 😝

IMG_0992.JPG

This is just the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen and cannot wait to try it out this Saturday. The pictures are self explanatory so I won’t go on and on but it has everything you need to create many different looks.

Yes the price tag is high but I am blind when it comes to Dior so don’t really care. If you like Dior then go buy it or ask the man in your life to dig deep this Christmas – I am sure you would love it as much as I do and if not you can send it to me, I will gladly give it a home 😉

Ooooh I almost forgot, because I spent X amount on Dior I got a free gift.

This is like one of the most adorable things ever. It is literally like a little purse with a magnetic clasp, in baby pink!! It’s so cute!! Inside are 4 little Dior lipstick samples. I haven’t tried them yet but having used Dior lipsticks previously, I am certain I will love them.

I will update you all on these products when I have tested them all. I am off shopping next Thursday so wonder what goodies will sneak into my basket then 😊

Thanks guys xx

It’s All About Dior

IMG_0671-0.JPG

Hi guys,

With it coming up to my birthday and christmas – I often get asked what I want and what I need.

Being a bit, ok, HUGE Dior fan, I decided to go through some of my collection and see what I’m short of. Seeing it all out got me slightly excited, as I just love Dior so thought I would share my collection with you. If you have any Dior recommendations then please let me know.

Ok onto the collection:

I’m going to do make up first and then go through some of my perfumes.

The first make up item in the collection is the Dior My Lady powder – I love this powder. It is a perfect highlighter for across the cheeks and down the bridge of the nose. The main thing that attracted me to this item is it’s packaging. It is just stunning – it’s quite pricey though like most Dior products but well worth it. I don’t highlight everyday so it’s lasting very well and a little seems to go a long way.

IMG_0665-0.JPG

The next item is the blusher in the colour 943 Strawberry Sorbet, another lovely high quality product. You really don’t need a lot of this product on the brush. It’s quite a deep pink so a little dab of this adds enough colour for a nice flushed look.

IMG_0667.JPG

I also have another blusher that I tend to use more than the above. This one is called Rosy Glow and I use this nearly everyday. It’s supposed to adjust to your natural skin tone and it just gives a gorgeous pink colour to the cheeks. I use this with a bronzer to give a more natural look. It’s definitely one of my GT products. It comes in a lovely palette with a cute little brush and mirror. Perfect to throw in your handbag for touch ups through out the day.

IMG_0664.JPG

Next is eye shadow, the first item is the smoky eye palette in the colour 008 Smoky Design. I have used this product a lot on nights out when I want a proper smoky eye. It has great lasting power and has lasted me a long time. I have been opting for a more of a brown smoky eye lately but sometimes a black smoky eye is the way forward and this has to be my favourite palette to create that look.

IMG_0666.JPG

Another palette I use is a smaller one compared to the above. This one is in the colour 734 Grege – these colours are gorgeous. I have only used this a few times as I forgot I had it 😳 it’s now back at the top of the drawer where it belongs so that I will use it!! The few times I have used it I have loved the end result and it is small enough to put in your make up bag that you carry around daily. Love it!

IMG_0663.JPG

Last eyeshadow I have is number 159 in Lavender, this is a very cute shade which I tend to blend with other colours to give a less bold look. If you like a one colour lid then this is a nice colour. It’s a blue/purple shade, I have brown eyes so it doesn’t really suit me on it’s own but as it’s Dior, I love it. Obviously!

Next is my Diorshow Mascara, I got this as a gift last birthday and I adore it. The brush is quite thin so you can really get into the corners and the lower lids. It’s not too hard to remove either unlike some other brands I could mention, cough cough! I will repurchase this when it runs out.

I also have the Dior liquid liner, this is a lovely, super easy product to use. The brush is so thin which in my opinion is a definite must for applying line to the top lashes, if the brush is too thick it’s just yuk! Great product.

IMG_0669.JPG

Lips, my favourite Dior lipstick is in the shade 260 Rose Deshabille – this is such a gorgeous colour. It’s a lovely light pink which can either be worn alone or under a gloss of your choice. It seems to last well but if you’re anything like me, constantly rubbing your lips together then you will have to reapply more often haha!

The lipgloss I have is in the shade 404, not sure what it’s called because the name has rubbed off through excessive use but I bought it to wear with my Dior Nail Polish in the colour Bikini. Love this combo in the summer, really pretty colours.

IMG_0662.JPG

IMG_0661.JPG

The other nail polish I have is a red polish called Mayan Red. This is a lovely shade, a real red, not pink toned. I like the Dior polishes, they apply well, last well and don’t chip. Expensive at £18 a polish but you get what you pay for.

IMG_0670.JPG

IMG_0662-0.JPG

Onto perfumes now but I will start with the perfume creams and shower gel. I know a lot of people don’t use the products they get free when they buy a fragrance set but I don’t understand why?! These little freebies really compliment the fragrances and on top of that are really nice on the skin.

I use the J’Adore shower gel and cream before spraying the perfume and I genuinely think it makes the fragrance last longer and it makes you feel fabulous! Why would people not use these products?!

IMG_0655.JPG

I have quite a few perfumes from Dior but my all time favourite is J’Adore. I think this smells heavenly and I feel amazing when I wear it. I can’t describe what it smells like but I’m sure you all know anyway as it is so popular! It’s been my favourite for many years and from what I have smelt, Dior haven’t brought out anything to top this one. I just LOVE it!

I also have quite a few bottles of Addict which I tend to use during the day as they aren’t as strong as the Poison perfumes. Hypnotic Poison is my favourite from this range, and my bottle is nearly empty 😞 I shall have to replace it soon.

As you can tell from the photos I do have quite a few bottles of each perfume and in all honesty is because I am a bit of a Dior addict. I think if they released a perfume that I didn’t like I would probably still buy it anyway 😂

I also have a little Dior box which I keep all my samples and handbag perfumes in. Most of these are Dior as well. Can you tell I’m a fan yet?!

IMG_0654.JPG

Now the last product I want to mention isn’t beauty related at all – it’s my Dior shoes! I fell in love with these when I saw them – they were quite expensive, €345, but I couldn’t resist. I have only worn them a handful of times as I am scared to get them dirty haha! They are loved though, and they shall remain in pride of place in my bedroom and worshipped until I find a carpeted venue to wear them!!

IMG_0660.JPG

I am hoping to go to Paris to the House of Dior as soon as I have saved up enough money for my favourite Lady Dior handbag. At £3000 I can’t really justify it right now haha!!
